SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
An External Wholesaler or Regional Vice President (“RVP”) is charged with leading the sales effort on behalf of CORE for an assigned territory. The sales effort includes but is not limited to: Developing effective strategies to market the Company’s investment products to all registered representatives located in an RVP’s assigned territory; executing marketing strategies developed by the company; maintaining required activity levels and travel schedules; increasing the penetration rate of the selling group in the RVP’s assigned territory and developing, maintaining and improving relationships with registered representative members of the Company’s selling group. In addition, an RVP is expected to develop and execute an effective business plan in order to achieve territory sales goals on behalf of the company. As the leader of the sales effort in an assigned territory, an RVP is responsible for working in partnership and providing some direction for his or her internal wholesaler to achieve the territory goals.
SPECIFIC SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related experience required
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently to strategically grow a defined territory
- Experience in real estate and securities investment
- 5 years experience in financial services
- Sales experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and influencing skills
- Series 63 & Series 7 required
- Familiarity with basic and extensive concepts and practices in all areas of sales and marketing
- Ability to use an extensive degree of creativity and latitude in accomplishing objectives
- Demonstrated ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations
- Ability and vision to develop and execute an effective business plan
- The demonstrated ability to build and cultivate business relationships
